Gérald-Brice Viret Managing Director of French and International TV Channels

Richard Lenormand, Lagardère Active’s Radio and TV Division Executive Director, has announced the appointment of Gérald-Brice Viret as Lagardère Active’s Managing Director of French and International TV Channels.
He will take over from Antoine Villeneuve who is leaving the group to pursue personal goals.
Gérald-Brice Viret will step into his new role within the next few weeks and will be in charge of developing the activities of Lagardère Active TV Channels Division (Gulli, CANAL J, TiJi, June, the channels MCM, Mezzo et Mezzo Live HD), both in France and internationally.
Over the past 15 years, Viret (age 45) has managed a variety of French television channels, ranging from general to special-interest and free to pay, including NRJ 12, Chérie 25, NRJ Hits, TMC and Voyage. He also chaired the TNT group until 2009, when the entity designed to help launch TNT in France was dissolved. Previously, he had begun his career in the local and regional television sector, working for 8 Mont-Blanc, TLM, Antilles TV and France 3. “
