Hachette España: appointment

Marta Martínez is appointed Managing Director / Consejera Delegada of Hachette España and becomes a member of Hachette Livre International Executive Board

Born in 1969 Marta Martínez is Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration of St. Louis University (Missouri, USA) and Master Degree in Commercial and Marketing Management (Instituto de Empresa, Madrid, Spain).

She has been working as Advertising Manager and as Press and Publicity Manager in GDM/Grupo Prisa (1992-1997) and in Grupo Zeta (1998-2001); she joined Orange in 2001 as Audience Revenues Sales Director / Head of Orange Portal, prior to be appointed Starmedia CEO in 2008.

Since January 2012, she has been the General Manager Iberia and Occidental Europe of Macmillan Education – Springer Nature Group.
