Exceeding of threshold

In a letter dated and received 20 June 2006, the company QIA – Qatar Investment Authority (PO Box 23224 Doha, Qatar) – declared that its percentage ownership of LAGARDERE had risen over 5% on 14 June 2006. The company now holds 7,250,000 LAGARDERE shares representing as many voting rights (5.10% of the capital and 4.23% of this company’s voting rights).(*)

The declarer has specified that it exceeded this threshold as the result of share acquisitions on the market performed as part of normal and typical asset management operations.

(*) On the basis of capital comprising 142,269,494 shares representing 171,240,147 voting rights.
