In the mass news and public-interest magazine market, Paris Match and Public have been, since the beginning of 2007, returning remarkable circulation figures, both showing a rise of 14% in sales per issue.
The summer period is particularly favorable to Public, which since July has seen growth in kiosk sales of 24% compared to the same period in 2006.
In other news on the performance of Lagardère Active’s major weeklies, Lagardère would also like to point out to readers the third successive yearly increase in sales for ELLE magazine, growth that has soared in 2007 (+8.5% at mid-August).
Lagardère Active, France’s leading magazine publisher, has also embarked on a strategy of shaking up the market. It is the first magazine group to communicate the circulation results of its main titles each quarter (see 23 July 2007 press release). Coming up next week: circulation results for its main monthlies.
