HDS Retail opens Relay-Van Houtte at Montreal Airport

HDS Retail North America is very pleased to announce the opening of another new location at Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport in Montreal, Quebec. RELAY-Van Houtte, a fabulous combination store with a space of 900 square feet is located in the Transborder Pre-Security part of the terminal and is a great addition to an already strong HDS Retail presence at the airport.

The RELAY-Van Houtte is HDS Retail’s first store available to passengers that feature all of the aspects of RELAY, the world’s largest news and gift brand with the unique beverage and food offerings of a Van Houtte, one of North America’s leading gourmet coffee companies. The RELAY side of the store offers travelers a large selection of magazines, newspapers, books, beverages and snacks, while the Van Houtte serves a wide variety of espresso-based drinks, tasty coffee blends, freshly made pastries, sandwiches and salads. There is also seating available so passengers can relax and enjoy their purchases.

These two concepts work amazingly well together, offering the traveler an opportunity to get everything they need for their trip in one location. Warm lighting, exceptional merchandising and the enticing aroma of excellent coffee are the perfect combination to bring shoppers into the store.

HDS Retail also recently opened two locations – a RELAY and a Mexx/Artizan – as part of the expansion of the Transborder area at Montreal-Trudeau earlier this year. These three new stores bring to 16 the total number of stores to be operated by HDS Retail at Montreal airport including such concepts as RELAY, Virgin Books and Music, Découvrir un Pays, Fruits & Passion, Maison de la Presse Internationale and Mini-Marché.
