Appointment of Frédérique Bredin

In view of the group’s accelerated development, Gérald de Roquemaurel, Chairman and CEO of Hachette Filipacchi Médias, has announced the appointment of Frédérique Bredin, currently Vice President, Strategy and Development at Lagardère Média, to HFM, with effect as of 9 February 2004.

Frédérique Bredin will act as Vice President, New Markets, and report directly to Anne- Marie Couderc, Chief Operative Officer at HFM. She will be responsible for launching projects on these new markets for magazine publishing France.

Her new duties will also include liaising with Jean-Paul Denfert-Rochereau on the international follow-up of launches and new concepts in magazine publishing.

Frédérique Bredin will remain with Arnaud Lagardère as a member of the Lagardère group Executive Committee and the Lagardere Active Management Committee
