Appointment of Rémy PFLIMLIN

The general management of NMPP has been entrusted to Mr Rémy Pflimlin

HACHETTE S.A., operator of press distribution service Nouvelles Messageries de la Presse Parisienne (NMPP), has confirmed that general management of the service has been entrusted to Mr Rémy Pflimlin.

On Friday 25 November 2005, Arnaud Lagardere, chairman and CEO of HACHETTE S.A., informed NMPP’s management board members of his plan to appoint Mr Rémy Pflimlin as the new chief operating officer of NMPP as of 1 January 2006, further stating that Mr Pflimlin will succeed Mr Ghislain Le Leu as managing director of NMPP on 1 July 2006.

The management board approved this appointment unanimously.

Mr Pflimlin has spent a large part of his career in the press sector. He began at Jour de France, and then joined Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace in 1985. In June 1991, he was named CEO of the Société Alsacienne de Publications, the publisher of the daily newspaper L’Alsace, of which he was chairman of the management board from 1993 to 1999. In November 1999, he joined France 3 as managing director.
