Appointment of Thierry Moreau as Managing Editor of Télé 7 Jours
Editorial management changes within Presse Magazine France
Patrick Mahé is leaving his position as Managing Editor of Télé 7 Jours, having instigated a change in editorial strategy to be implemented in the second half of 2006. He will remain within General Management at Hachette Filipacchi Médias to develop a number of publishing projects while also working towards some personal objectives. Télé 7 Jours is the leading weekly television listings magazine, with a circulation of 1.7 million copies purchased in France in 2005.
Patrick Mahé joined the Hachette Filipacchi Médias Group in 1981. He was appointed first as Deputy Editor-in-Chief and then Editor-in-Chief of Paris Match, while also holding the position of Literary Director of Editions Filipacchi. He has been Managing Editor of Télé 7 Jours since 1996 and was also in charge of the editorial department at Première (2001 to 2004). In 2000, he launched the monthly magazine Bon Voyage, which merged with Match du Monde in 2005. In 1997 he was appointed to HFM’s Editorial and Strategy Committee. He is also the author of some twenty books (biographies, narratives and illustrated books) and President of the “7 d’Or” television awards and of ITMA (International Televison Magazines Association).
Anne Marie Couderc, managing director and CEO of the Presse Magazine France division, is pleased to announce the appointment of Thierry Moreau, nominated by Bruno Lesouef, co-managing director and Deputy CEO, as Managing Editor of Télé 7 Jours. Moreau is currently Managing Editor of Ici Paris, and his appointment will take effect on 7 February 2006.
Claude Bosle has been confirmed as Editor-in-Chief of Télé 7 Jours and Gianni Lorenzon has been confirmed as Editor-in-Chief of Ici Paris.
Thierry Moreau, born in 1964, graduated in journalism from the University of Bordeaux III before embarking on a freelance career from 1984 to 1988. He subsequently worked as a journalist on Auto-Moto (1989), Communication CB News (1990-1991), and Interview (1992). From 1993 to 1997 he was News Director at Voici, and then Editor-in-Chief at Ici Paris (1998-2000). From 2000 to 2001, he was Editor-in-Chief of Art et Décoration. He then returned to Ici Paris as Assistant Managing Editor and was appointed Managing Editor in 2002.
