Gordon FYVIE joins Lagardère Sports

Olivier Guiguet, Chairman and CEO of Lagardère Sports, is pleased to announce the appointment of Gordon Fyvie as Executive Vice President of Operations, Events & Marketing of Lagardère Sports. Gordon will be a member of the Lagardère Sports’ Executive Committee.
Reporting to Olivier Guiguet, Gordon will be responsible for continuing the development and expansion of Lagardère Sports’ events business, as well as for the strategic growth and development of the company’s marketing-related activities in Sponsorship, Hospitality and venue consultation. He will also work closely with the heads of each of the company’s subsidiaries to develop, improve and harmonize the operations, strategies and key processes across of all the group’s business units.
With over 17 years experience in the leisure and entertainment industry, Gordon Fyvie has developed extensive knowledge and expertise in the areas of live entertainment, events , sport management, and media at an international level.
Gordon started his career in leisure, event and entertainment as the Director of Business and Legal Affairs at the Allied Entertainments Group Plc, in London, where he advised on the Group’s organization and presentation of concerts and events, as well as on its production and distribution of “live-event” television programmes and feature films.
He then worked with the Cirque du Soleil, where he became Senior Director of International Development. In this role, his primary mandate was to develop new markets for the company’s touring shows business in Europe, Asia, South America, Mexico, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.
Gordon then continued his career by heading up Business Development at the Franco Dragone Entertainment Group, where he helped expand the company’s large-scale live show and event business into China.
He then established a specialized consultancy business, based in Montreal and through which he worked with clients active in the media, entertainment and event business, helping them to develop and operate their businesses in various territories throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia.
Gordon Fyvie graduated from the University of Wales with an LLB, with honours and is a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales and a qualified Barrister and Solicitor in Alberta, Canada.
