June, the entertainment channel for young women, adds a note of glamour to Facebook in conjunction with its New York City Fashion Week event.
Facebook is an indispensable ally for the channel (whose core target comprises young women in their 20s), allowing June to optimize its presence on social networks, develop its brand image (thanks to its fan page) and promote special events. The first event to benefit from this synergy is being organized in partnership with Gala magazine around Fashion Week 2011 in New York City.
June is giving fashion enthusiasts a chance to win a three-day trip to New York to participate in Fashion Week. The winner will also have an opportunity to meet fashion designer Juliette Longuet on the shoot for her “New York, New York-Paris, Paris Fashion Week Special.” All fashionistas are invited to participate in the contest by posting a photo of their most stylish look on the channel’s fan page (www.facebook.com/JuneTVfr) until 16 January 2011.
On 28 January a judging panel will pick the winner, who will take off for New York with the person of his or her choice. During their stay in the city (15-17 February), they will be plunged into the midst of one of the world’s most prestigious fashion events, in the heart of Manhattan.
The special broadcast of the “New York, New York-Paris, Paris Fashion Week Special,” which will be shot on 10-17 February, will be broadcast on June TV on Saturday 12 March 2011 at 7:20 pm.
