Key renewal and new acquisition see Lagardère Sports further strengthen its ATP 250 tennis media business

Agency signs deals with BMW Open by FWU AG and Brasil Open – two of the most prestigious tournaments on the ATP 250 calendar
Lagardère Sports today announced it has acquired the worldwide media distribution rights (excluding Germany) to the ATP 250 BMW Open by FWU AG in Munich until 2019. The agency has also renewed an existing worldwide media rights (excluding Brazil) contract with the ATP 250 Brasil Open in Sao Paulo, until 2022 – having already worked with the tournament for the past five years.
With more than 40 years of experience of building tennis fan bases and visibility for the sport on television, and now the leading distributor of ATP 250 events, the agency will not only give the tournaments global visibility but will also provide rights holders with solutions to package and monetise rights efficiently and effectively.
