Lagardère Unlimited creates new company for stadium and arena consulting and management

Lagardère Unlimited announces the creation of Lagardère Unlimited Stadium Solutions. This new company, based in Paris, offers integrated and comprehensive solutions for stadium and arena owners around the globe.

Lagardère Unlimited Stadium Solutions provides services ranging from complete pre-build consultancy services to comprehensive stadium management and marketing services.

Establishing this new venture is a logical “next step” for Lagardère Unlimited, as the company has established a wealth of experience and expertise in the fast-growing area of stadium and arena development and management, through its subsidiaries’ extensive involvement on stadium and arena projects in Europe and Asia.
In Europe, Sportfive has more than 10 years of experience in delivering stadium and arena consultancy, management and marketing services, playing key roles on a number of stadiums in Germany, including the IMTECH Arena in Hamburg and the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt. Sportfive has also worked on projects such as the redevelopment of the Dynamo Stadium in Moscow, the new Juventus FC Stadium in Italy and the new Olympique Lyonnais Stadium in France.
In Asia, World Sport Group is part of the consortium which is developing and managing the Singapore Sports Hub.

With the creation of Lagardère Unlimited Stadium Solutions, Lagardère Unlimited will now be able to deliver its stadium and arena consultancy, management and marketing expertise and services through one centralised company, while collaborating with its long established affiliate companies as required; including Sportfive, World Sport Group and IEC in Sports.

The Managing Director of Lagardère Unlimited Stadium Solutions is Ulrik Ruhnau, former Vice President of Business development at Sportfive Germany. He will report to Gordon Fyvie, in charge of Events & Marketing for Olivier Guiguet.

Commenting on this new venture, Olivier Guiguet, Lagardère Unlimited Chief Operating Officer, said: “With the creation of this new company, we will be able to consolidate all of the existing group-wide stadium development and management knowhow under one team, which will enable us to further strengthen Lagardère Unlimited’s position internationally, while helping to support the development of our subsidiaries in their respective regions.”
