Numilog launches a reading application for iPad in partnership with booksellers
Lagardère Publishing
Paris, March 7, 2011
With its iPad app, Numilog offers the customers of its points of sale a new reading tool. This is part of its strategy of increasing services to booksellers with the objective of promoting their expansion into the digital book market.
Interoperability is a key element of Numilog’s services to booksellers
It is essential today that e-commerce customers be able to read their eBooks on as many types of reading devices as possible, regardless of where they made their purchase. The attractiveness of the booksellers’ product lines therefore depends on their ability to market interoperable eBooks. The Numilog application for iPad meets this objective.
This application allows iPad users to access all eBooks purchased online at one of the 21 points of sale referenced in the Numilog application, and then read them later on their iPad. In fact, the eBooks purchased online are automatically retrieved by the application.
A reading tool with a host of features
- Full-text search
- Access by chapter, quick access to a specific page by scrolling
- Notes and highlighting
- Pick-up at the last point read
- Automatic synchronization of the personal library with the customer account
