Philipp Hasenbein named new managing director of SPORTFIVE

Thomas Röttgermann to serve international sports rights agent in consultative capacity

Richard Worth, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SPORTFIVE, has appointed Philipp Hasenbein (39) as the new managing director of SPORTFIVE GmbH & Co. KG to replace SPORTFIVE’s present managing director Thomas Röttgermann who leaves the company on August 31st 2008, but will continue to serve SPORTFIVE in a consultative capacity for the foreseeable future. The transition will begin with immediate effect to ensure a smooth handover.

SPORTFIVE CEO Richard Worth said: “In the past ten years, Thomas Röttgermann has developed SPORTFIVE’s German business and achieved outstanding results, creating a very healthy portfolio. Philipp Hasenbein, who holds a degree in sports economics, began his career as a SPORTFIVE project manager at HERTHA BSC Berlin. In July 2000, he was appointed Vice President Products at SPORTFIVE in Hamburg. In this capacity, he has supervised the Products department ever since, also serving as managing director of SPORTFIVE’s former ticketing subsidiary, SPORTFIVE Tixx GmbH.
