Re-establishing dialogue to ensure the long-term future of French daily Le Monde

During a meeting of the supervisory board of the LMPA (Le Monde Partenaires et Associés), the administrators decided to set up a commission composed of internal shareholders, to be represented by Jean-Michel Dumay, and external shareholders, to be represented by Etienne Pflimlin. Le Monde is going through a difficult period, and we are therefore pleased with this decision, which was made in the spirit of conciliation.

As a long-term partner of the French daily Le Monde, we fully support this initiative. We hope it will re-establish dialogue between the various parties, in order to ensure that solutions are quickly found to guarantee the long-term survival of Le Monde to the mutual satisfaction of all those concerned.
