Pika Édition is pleased to announce publication of Volume 1 of the long-awaited graphic adaptation of Twilight, available on 17 March 2010.

In the space of four years, the most famous saga since Harry Potter has become a global publishing phenomenon. Translation rights to the Twilight saga have been sold in some 50 countries, with 85 million copies sold worldwide.

Stephenie Meyer’s work has been successfully adapted by Korean artist Young Kim in Twilight, Volume 1: Fascination, which offers an original insight into Meyer’s vision. A unique combination of Asian and Western techniques, this black-and-white graphic adaptation is interspersed with touches of colour throughout.

Stephenie Meyer was closely involved in the project. “I loved working on this new interpretation of Twilight,” she says. “Young did an incredible job of transforming my words into these wonderful images. The characters and places are very close to the way I imagined them when I wrote the series.”

The first novel will be divided into two volumes in order to stay as close as possible to the original story.

The release date for Volume 2 will be announced at a later date.
