Lagardère Travel Retail est l'un des leaders mondiaux du Travel Retail, au service des passagers dans les aéroports, les gares et autres concessions dans 42 pays. L'une des deux divisions du groupe Lagardère, Lagardère Travel Retail répond aux besoins des passagers et des concédants de façon holistique à travers un réseau de plus de 5 000 points de vente Travel Essentials, Duty Free & Fashion et Foodservice. Le groupe s'est engagé à créer des expériences de voyage plus responsables dans le cadre de sa stratégie RSE (P.E.P.S) ainsi qu'à contribuer à la neutralité carbone globale d'ici fin 2023. En 2022, Lagardère Travel Retail a réalisé un chiffre d'affaires de 5.2 milliards d'euros.

In the context of a global reorganization, we are creating a new Group Operational Excellence Department, with the overall objective to drive top- and bottom-line store performance by continuously improving in-store execution leveraging internal and external expertise and innovation, support openings or distressed operations to foster profitable expansion.

 

This new department will include four teams:

• Store solutions
• Local Supply Chain, Loss Prevention and Transversal Projects management
• Operational quality
• Indirect purchasing

The mission of Store solutions team is to provide turnkey solutions to operations and spread best practices to drive continuous improvement of operational excellence and performance. The scope includes varied topics such as: innovative check out solutions, autonomous stores, energy consumption reduction, staff network tool… the list will constantly evolve based on needs and opportunities and we expect from the Operational Excellence Projects Manager to feed this list bringing new ideas!

This position will be a great opportunity to:

  • Participate to the creation of a new department and function within the Group, bringing his/her own vision to the Group’s operational standards with big room to play and having a great impact on Group performance
  • Be greatly exposed to top management, all Businesses and all countries (scope all BLs, all regions)
  • Manage a variety of challenging projects and topics

 

MAIN MISSIONS

The Operational Excellence projects manager ensures the management of a portfolio of strategic projects and coordinate these projects from end-to-end, from recommendations/solutions design to operational implementation in all 40 countries of the Group.

In this context, the Operational Excellence projects manager’s responsibilities are the following:

  • Ensure PMO for the projects he/she’s in charge of : organize work and project team, coordinate the various teams and functions involved in countries or HQ. The projects’ portfolio will be evolving over time and the Operational Excellence projects manager is expected to be proactive to make his/her projects and his/her perimeter evolve
  • Produce all the documentation needed to roll-out the project : good practices, guidelines, training documents, webinars, Executive Summaries targeting top management…
  • Monitor and document the qualitative and quantitative results after implementation : build strong benchmarks and REX; actively share operational good practices to foster continuous improvement in all countries
  • Support countries in the day-to-day for the operational implementation of the projects, with a hands-on and field approach
  • Actively contribute to the LEaP and in the future STARS’ programs animation : preparation of documents and presentation to project teams / countries / EXCOM; communities animation; organization of webinars and operational events, newsletters ; contribution to the creation and animation of a new internal recognition program…

PROFILE

You have a Master in Management or Engineering and ideally you have :

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience,
  • An experience in the following fields : Operations, Strategy, Project management, Finance.

Ideally based in Levallois-Perret (Paris area), other European location could be discussed.

 
You have a good command of project management (organisation, coordination, prioritization, etc.) and Microsoft Office (in particular Excel and PowerPoint). You have analytical skills et you are fluent in English and French (spoken and written).

 
You have a taste for challenge and are recognised for your flexibility, curiosity and versatility ; your autonomy, decision-making and ability to deal with the unexpected.

You have the capacity to manage various tasks and projects and deliver ambitious results, and good anticipation, organization and priority management skills. You have a strong interest for operations, field and hand-on approach.

You also have synthesis skills (oral and written) and good communication and interpersonal skills.
